MailDivert is an email diversion service that allows you to create an email target on this server that will divert to your email address.
This allows you to control content that you may not fully trust (eg a website that you're interested in but not completely sure that they wont spam you). It also makes it simple to determine who is that's spamming you if they are using this email server.
For example. If you wanted to subscribe to a mailing list on example.com, you could create an alias firstname.lastname@example.org that would divert emails to your email address. Then, if you later tried to unsubscribe from the site but they kept sending you emails, you could delete the alias and stop receiving emails. If you start receiving spam, you would have email@example.com in the from address, so it shouldnt be hard to determine which site you associated with the email address.
