STEP 1

Initially, download MailDivert MBOX Export Tool and launch perfectly on your computer desktop. When, it gets launched, the screenshot will be shown as:

Now, you will see different options are available on the software. Then, click on Select File(s)/Select Folder option to load MBOX mailbox files. And, then click on OK button to import the files.

If you click on the desired folder, all its file list will show quickly on the right software pane. Just select the email, which you want to view and all its data will display in the Preview section.

Now, click on the Export button and choose the desired saving option. You can select any required output option to convert MBOX files into multiple options like PST, Office 365, Outlook.com, Exchange Server, Gmail, G Suite, PDF, MSG, EML, EMLx, MBOX, DOC, RTF, HTML, MHT.

Select the saving location if you are exporting MBOX files to PST, PDF, MSG, MBOX, HTML, MHT, EMLx, TXT, XPS, EML, DOC, DOCX, RTF, Thunderbird, and other desktop file formats.

And if you are exporting to cloud based services or any server, you just need to enter the login credentials to connect to the respective options.

STEP 6

To Export MBOX to PST File Format:-

If you select PST option as export type, then the software will provide options which includes Separate PST per MBOX, Advanced Filter Option, and Destination Path.

To Export MBOX to PDF File Format:-

If you select PDF option as export type, then the tool will give Advance PDF Saving options, File Naming Options, and Advanced Filters. So you can choose as per your requirement.

In Advanced PDF Options:-

  • Save All Emails in Single PDF

Saving Attachment Options

  • Embeded Attachments to PDF
  • Extract Attachments to a Separate Folder
  • Convert Attachments to PDF
  • Add or Append Attachments after PDF

To Export MBOX to EML, EMLX, MSG, and TGZ File Formats:-

If you select EML, EMLX, MSG, and TGZ option as export type then the software will provide Advanced Filters and File Naming Options. So, you can select any File Naming option which fulfil your need.

To Export MBOX to TXT, DOC, DOCX, HTML, MHT, RTF, XPS File Formats:-

If you select TXT, DOC, DOCX, HTML, MHT, RTF and XPS option as export type then the software will provide Advanced Filters and File Naming Options. You will also get the option to Extract Attachments in a Separate Folder, if you want to save attachments in a separate folder.

STEP 7

To Export MBOX to Cloud Apps:-

If you select Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and G Suite option as export type then the software will provides Advanced Filters and Save to Default Folder.

If you select Office 365, Exchange Server, and Hosted Exchange Server option as export type then the software will provides Advanced Filters, I Am Admin and Copy to Default Folder.

STEP 8

Go to Advance Filters that offers multiple option for specified conversion i.e.

  • Date Range: User can select date range filter to save MBOX files of particular date range.
  • Subject Filters: Users can filter the final saving by saving the emails that contains specfic words and phrases
  • TO, FROM Fields: Users can choose specific to and from addresses to save MBOX files.
  • Exclude Folders: Users can skip any folder for migration by provided this option.

STEP 9

Now, hit on Browse option and choose saving path to save resultant files where you want. Finally Click on Convert button.

As you click on Convert button, software will initiate the conversion procedure of MBOX files to another format. You can view live conversion during the process with Export Option, Source Profile, Destination Path, Item Count, and Live Status.

Once the whole conversion is finished, a pop-up window will appear showing the message like Process Completed Successfully. Then, press on the OK button to accomplish the process.

After the completion of the process it will open a log TXT file, you can save this processing report.

MBOX Converter Working Manual - for Mac

STEP 1

First download MailDivert MBOX Converter for Mac Tool on your Mac System. Once, it gets downloaded, lauch and open it. The first screen will be shown as:

Click on Add Files or Add Folder button to add MBOX mailboxes.

The software will show the list of selected MBOX files, as shown below.

The software also provides option to remove MBOX files. Click on Remove button to remove selected files and if you want to remove all files, then click on Remove All button.

You can see the listed MBOX files alongwith their checkboxes. Click on the checkboxes to select MBOX files for conversion and click on Next button to proceed further

Click on Select Saving Option drop down list and choose desired saving option.

The software provides multiple saving formats to convert Mac MBOX Files.

  • File Formats - PST, EML, EMLX, MSG, HTML, MHT, CSV, MBOX, PDF, OLM
  • Email Clients - Thunderbird
  • Email Servers - Gmail, Yahoo Mail
  • Cloud Based services - Office 365, Outlook.com, IMAP Servers

Choose the right format as per your needs as shown below-

STEP 7

The Mac MBOX Converter also provides various sub options for individually selected output options.

For PST

  • Separate PST per MBOX File - Choose this option to create separate PST file for each MBOX file. Unchecking this option will save all MBOX files in one PST file.

For PDF Format

  • Save Attachment Options- In this option, the software provides multiple options to save Attachments in PDF
    1. Embed Attachments into PDF
    2. Extract Attachments to separate folder
  • File Naming Options - Multiple file naming options are available in this option, so you can choose as per need to save resultant file, then click on OK button.

Choose the appropriate filter option from the following options -

For EML, EMLx, MSG, HTML, MHT

  • File Naming Options - Choose required file naming options to save resultant files.

STEP 8

Select the saving location if you are exporting MBOX files to file formats. (By default, it is set as Desktop.)

And if you are exporting to cloud based services or any server, you just need to enter the login credentials to connect to the respective options.

STEP 9

After you are done with all the selection, click on Export to start the process of Mac MBOX conversion. The process will display every detail about the conversion such as the files name, total count, converted items, status etc.

After completion you will get a message box displaying “Conversion completed”. Click on OK button to finish the process.

As you click on OK button, the software will automatically open log report in Notepad. You can save it in TXT file for keeping complete conversion record.

The software also automatically opens the destination folder containing resultant files.
